The Merry Harriers

In the picturesque village of Hambledon in the beautiful Surrey Hills area of outstanding natural beauty with Llama picnic trekking. The Merry Harriers has its origins dating back to the 16th century, our traditional welcoming village inn is steeped in history with the landlord’s names dating back to the early 1700’s written on the Inn walls.

Bursting with charm and character, our family and dog friendly inn offers excellent food, award-winning local ales and wines, a lovely garden, first rate accommodation and an element of the unexpected with our llama treks.

The Merry Harriers is a natural stopover for walkers, cyclists and dog owners and the perfect destination for an enjoyable meal with friends or a relaxing stay in one of our beautifully designed garden rooms, Inn rooms or our brand new to 2019 Shepherd’s Huts; a perfectly quirky twist on the glamping craze, a modernized alternative to the classic yurt.

Owned by local residents Peter and Lana de Savary, since May 2017, and managed and run by Martine & Mikey, and House Dog Missy, we look forward to welcoming you and sharing the charm and comfort of this historic English inn.

The Village of Hambledon is straight out of central casting…beautiful old houses, open fields speckled with horses, a village green and a local shop run by a volunteer collective.

Staff were brilliant, friendly and very accommodating. On our list to visit again soon!
